8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Exodus 20:8-11

Yehovah gave us the seventh day Sabbath as a time to rest and draw closer to Him. Most Christian churches have moved away from the true biblical Sabbath, but slowly, some of us are returning as we realize that there is no Jew or Gentile (Galatians 3:28-29). We are all grafted into Israel.

As believers come to understand that we are commanded to observe the weekly Sabbath, they have a lot of questions about it. There is a lot of information on it throughout scripture, but we’ll cover the basics here in this video, especially how to observe Sabbath.

We’ll cover a lot of ground, including answering important Sabbath questions like:

  • What does Sabbath mean?
  • Are Sabbath and Shabbat the same?
  • Who is the Sabbath for?
  • Is the Sabbath a “Jewish holiday”?
  • Can Sabbath be any day?
  • Is Sabbath on Sunday or Saturday?
  • When does Sabbath start and end?
  • Did Jesus (Yeshua) keep the Sabbath?
  • Didn’t Jesus (Yeshua) end our requirement to keep Sabbath because we aren’t under the law anymore?
  • Did Jesus (Yeshua) do away with the law?
  • What does it mean that Jesus (Yeshua) fulfilled the law?
  • What happens if you don’t keep the Sabbath?
  • How do you keep the Sabbath?
  • What is the Kiddush?
  • Is keeping the Sabbath part of the Apostle’s doctrine?
  • Are we supposed to keep the Sabbath?
