Are we living in the end times? So many things in our world today point to a very high probability that we are. But while believers are busy, distracted with deciphering prophesy and entertaining an endless array of conspiracy theories (some of which may indeed be true), they are missing one vital, essential point. We must be prepared – biblically prepared.

34 “But be on your guard, so that your hearts will not be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that this day will not come on you suddenly, like a trap; 35for it will come upon all those who live on the face of all the earth. 36 “But stay alert at all times, praying that you will have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Luke 21:34-36

We live in interesting times. We live in the hour of Luke 21.

I am concerned that so many “believers” are spending more time speculating about the hour they live in than they are praying about the hour they live in.

It is that speculation that Yeshua warned us about. The underlying root of that speculation is a desire to maintain the status quo. In reality, we are more interested in holding on to our comfort zone than we are in seeing the Kingdom come into full realization in this world.

We are worried because what we love most is threatened. We are worried because our priorities are wrong.

As I write this, many are asking the same question: could we be on the edge of the last seven years? Are we looking at the beginning of Daniel’s seventieth week?

Never before in history has one man held the power of the current American President. The Caesars of Rome, the Pharaohs of Egypt, the Kings of Assyria and Babylon never wielded the power and authority of this man.

The entire geopolitical world is shifting at the words of this one man. The governments of this world balked at his demands only months ago, today they are capitulating to those demands.

He is the de facto ruler of all major national powers at the moment.

Am I saying that Donald Trump is the Anti-Christ? I don’t believe that to be the case, although it is remotely possible. What I am sure of is that he is the most virulent forerunner of those who have come before him.

No dictator this world has ever known has had the impact of this man without firing one shot or sending a single soldier into battle. The world is changing just by the authority of his word.

He may not be the Anti-Christ, but he certainly is setting the stage for someone.

“But stay alert at all times, praying that you will have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Luke 21:36

The thing believers should be doing in this hour is strengthening their relationship with Yehovah and binding together with like-minded individuals through prayer.

The prayer meeting should be of greater importance to us all. We need to return to deep periods of corporate and individual prayer.

“But stay alert at all times, praying that you will have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Luke 21:36

I do not believe that the verse we are looking at is teaching that we should pray that Yehovah would remove us from the circumstances of the hour of the Antichrist.

I believe it is teaching that we should fortify ourselves via the Spirit by means of prayer.

If you do not know, let me inform you that this ministry, Torah Observant Apostolics, does not subscribe to or teach the idea of a pre-tribulation rapture. We do not believe in a rapture of any kind. We believe that we will meet Yeshua in the air, the “atmosphere,” as He returns at the end of the tribulation period. We also believe that the “rapture” as it is most commonly taught, will destroy the faith of many people when they see that it has failed to materialize.

9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10  And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

Revelation 7:9-10

The greatest number of individuals to ever enter the Kingdom of God will do so during the last forty-two months of the tribulation period. These people will require instruction.

Even the disciples of Yeshuah required an additional forty days of instruction after the resurrection.

Who will instruct these people if the “church” has gone up in the rapture? Some would say that the Holy Spirit will teach them.

The principle of God throughout scripture has been to send a man, a human vehicle.

Yehovah is raising up reapers to enter into those fields today. Are we to live as cowards and pray “Oh, God take us out of this!” or are we to take up the whole armor of God and enter into the battle?

I do not pretend to understand all things, but I know what you have read thus far is fact.

The environment for worldwide first-century Apostolic Torah Observant revival is being created right now.

True biblical revival has always come as a result of extreme persecution. It separates the wheat from the tares. It purifies the lives of the faithful even further.

The explosion of truth and commitment that went forth from Jerusalem after Shavuot will be repeated on a global scale.

All around the earth, small fires are being kindled by individuals who want truth above everything else. Soon Yehovah will blow upon these fires until they rage with power and authority in those who keep His commandments and have the testimony of Yeshua ha Messiah.

What are you praying about and for during these uncertain times?
