If you’ve ever attended a Torah Observant Apostolic service, online or in person, or if you’ve ever watched one of our videos on YouTube, you’ve been introduced to Elder CW Mayberry.

His unique blend of humor, love for people, and incredible Bible knowledge holds you in rapt attention. Bible teaching never looked like this!

Elder Mayberry and his wife, Sister Stephanie Mayberry, have been pursuing biblical truth for nearly twenty years.

Elder Mayberry comes from an Apostolic background that spans more than forth years. He received the baptism of the Holy Spirit at 19 and has spent most of his life pursuing Yehovah and seeking to walk in Yehovah’s purpose for his life.

Sister Mayberry grew up in a Baptist church, but never truly felt fulfilled. She always felt that there had to be more – more to her life, more to Yehovah, and more to what He had planned for her life. As an adult, she attended various churches and denominations, not sure what she was searching for, but searching all the same.

Elder Mayberry and Sister Mayberry met when they were both working and living in Washington, DC. They forged a deep friendship as he gave her “the Bible study that changed the world” and confirmed her suspicions that there was no trinity. He then explained Acts 2:38 salvation to her and took her to a local Apostolic church.

They thought that the Apostolic faith was “enough,” but Yehovah wasn’t finished yet.

He started slowly, introducing the idea of the biblical Sabbath and the feast days. They began to move away from the pagan traditions, not because of any “teaching,” but more of an uncomfortable feeling with the days.

Then Yehovah introduced Passover to Elder Mayberry, who studied it diligently for a year. At the end of that year, in 2011, Yehovah asked him, “So, what are you going to do with this information?”

Elder Mayberry responded, “Well, I guess I am going to start incorporating it into my walk.”

He and Sister Mayberry had their first Passover that year and with that act of obedience came more growth, more revelation, and a depth of relationship with Yehovah that they’d never experienced before. The rest of the feast days and the weekly Sabbath come along with it.

And they never looked back.

Their adventure with Yehovah took them to South Carolina and Alabama, then finally settling in Louisiana, where they are today, in Ponchatoula.

In 2018, they began teaching their first Bible study on the feast days and Sabbath. They traveled from Baton Rouge to Albany at least once a week, every week. They baptized the couple in the name of Yeshua, in a horse trough in their pasture, right there in Albany.

Over the years they have baptized many more souls as the ministry has grown. People have traveled to him from other states in the United States and Canada to experience his teaching first hand and to be baptized in the name of Yeshua. That Bible study in Albany became Torah Observant Apostolics and the congregation grew in numbers. In 2024, they made the decision to begin streaming their Sabbath service to reach those in “church deserts,” those who desire fellowships but don’t have any near.

The group is small but faithful.

It was Elder Mayberry’s vision to have the service online as well as in person. He wanted to allow the people online to have fellowship with believers so that it would be as close to an in-person experience as possible. Over time, the group has become close, like family, even though they miles separate them.

What does the next chapter hold for the Mayberrys? Only Yehovah knows, but we’re all excited to see.
