by Stephanie A. Mayberry

In 1830, Margaret MacDonald was just a teenage girl. But after sharing several dreams with a preacher, she altered the course of Christian theology in a way that has permeated the culture for generations. It set things in motion that never should have been given life. It began as the recounting of a dream and turned into a lie that has been passed down through the years until the people telling it and teaching it believe it to be true.

Margaret MacDonald invented the pre-trib rapture – well, she had the dream that launched the lie. She shared the dream and a couple of preachers got ahold of it, giving it a life of its own.

The preachers John Darby, Edward Irving, and John Pusey twisted scripture to try and support the lie they had created from that little girl’s dream. They promptly created an entire doctrine around it, perverting scripture in an effort to give the lie validity.

And so, so many people were deceived. 😢

I grew up Baptist so “the rapture” was a really big deal. It never made sense to me though because I always asked who would teach the people left behind if all the “Christians” were raptured?

I was probably about 10 or so – about the same age I was when I got in trouble for questioning the trinity (that’s another story for another day).

The truth is, the pre-trib rapture cannot be supported by scripture – not if you read it in context. Further, you don’t see anyone in scripture who was snatched out of the jaws of adversity and persecution – who was “raptured out.”

Moses and the Israelites walked across the bed of the Red Sea. God did not snatch them up and put them in the Holy Land. They wandered in the wilderness for 40 years.

Noah and his family were not “raptured out” before the flood. They were on the ark going through the rain, the flood, all of it.

The three Hebrew boys were not “raptured up” when they were thrown into the furnace. No, they walked through the fire – but they weren’t alone.

The list goes on and on.

I remember when I was dating my husband (CW Mayberry) he once asked me what I thought about it (the pre-trib rapture). Now, mind you, I was coming out of years of seeking, going to every type of religious organization I could find in search of something that I could not name (God’s truth).

I said it had always bothered me because who was going to teach those people left behind? I said I had asked it many times but never got an answer that really left me feeling settled.

He smiled.

I was home.

  1. hello, I don’t believe in the rapture. And I don’t know how I came to this conclusion. Other than my constant prayers to YHVH our Lord and Savior. I’m not educated in anything. I don’t have a High school diploma. But I have Jesus our Lord in my heart and soul.

    1. I have a Facebook page and YouTube channel that focuses on false doctrines such as this, and provide the true and accurate translations of the original Hebrew manuscripts. YaHoVeH, translated GOD of the covenant, Covenant GOD, from which ALL knowledge and wisdom comes from. Warns us in the Old testament in the book of Ezekiel 13:18-20. …In essence,” I am against those that teach my people to fly away to save their souls”. Be truly thankful to have Eyes to see and ears to hear!

  2. Why would the Saints come to Earth to get their Resurrected body when the spirit body they have works fine in Heaven . Why need our Resurrected body to live there, we would only need a body to live on Earth .

    1. The saints are never going to leave the earth. The Bible does not teach that the saints are going to heaven. When we meet him in the air it will be at the second coming – when he comes to rule and reign,,

The earth was created for mankind and will be returned to us when Satan is defeated.

The meek shall inherit the earth, we will rule and reign with him in the earth.

There will be no secret rapture.

My friend, you, like so many others, are the victim of western Christian theology which is so very wrong on so many points.

We will recieve a supernatural body at the second coming because it will be necessary to carry out the duties of governing this world. If that was not enough, why would you not want a body untouched by the degradaition of sin?

No more sickness, no need for sleep, no more growing old.

I highly recommend my book “The Real Second Coming” by CW Mayberry. It walks you through scripture to clearly explain this.
